Science Festival in partnership with the Department of Coaching Education and the Department of Recreation

The 2nd and 3rd grade students made poster presentations at the Science Festival, the first of which was held jointly within the scope of the "Research Methods in Sports Sciences" and the Recreation Department "Scientific Research Techniques" course in the School of Physical Education and Sports. While some students compiled previous studies in the field of sports sciences, some students analyzed scientific articles made in the experimental field and turned them into poster presentations. With the poster presentations, the students both got their final exam grades and gained experience by answering questions they might encounter in future scientific studies.

Head of Coaching Education Department Ali ÖZKAN; “We wanted the students to breathe the air of the congress in an academic sense by using the studies in the field of sports sciences for educational purposes and turning these studies into poster presentations. Thus, the students gained academic experience, and they also passed the end-of-term exams. Gürkan ELÇİ, BESYO Deputy Director and Recreation Department lecturer; “By increasing the number of such scientific festivals on our campus, we have enabled students to gain new experiences by making a difference in their on-campus lives. We shared that sweet excitement and stress among the students. We are happy if we were able to prepare them for scientific congresses a bit.” he ended his speech.

BESYO director Prof. Dr. Mehmet GÜÇLÜ; “Thanks to this scientific activity held in our BESYO, we interacted with our students one-on-one, prepared them for the next scientific activities and gained experience. In this context, I would like to thank our other professors who participated in the presentations, made suggestions and brought different perspectives to their experiences. In addition, he said that such activities will continue, and in this sense, I would like to thank my Head of Coaching Education Department Ali ÖZKAN and our Deputy Director Gürkan ELÇİ for organizing this organization.
